NEWS RELEASE WELLINGTON COUNTY OPP
(WELLINGTON NORTH TWP, ON) – Police are requesting the public’s assistance in identifying two suspects in a recent shoplifting incident within Arthur.
On February 27, 2026, at approximately 7:30 p.m., two unidentified suspects entered a local business on Wellington Road 109, within the Town of Arthur, concealing approximately $500 worth of alcoholic beverages, and left the premises without making any attempts to pay and fled in an unknown direction.
On March 16, 2026, the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) was later contacted by the business and launched the shoplifting investigation.
The OPP is looking to identify the following suspects:
Suspect 1 is described as:
- Caucasian Male
- Approximately 45-55 years old
- 5’7 to 5’8 in height
- Heavy set
- Dark greying hair, short in length, with shaved sides
- Clothing: Black Nike hoodie with a blue vest overtop, blue jeans, brown shoes with white soles
Suspect 2 is described as:
- Caucasian Male
- Approximately 45-55 years old
- Medium build
- Clothing: Black winter coat, dark coloured zip-up sweater with a white t-shirt underneath, black toque, blue jeans and possibly grey shoes
