CENTRE WELLINGTON – Nominations are now open in Centre Wellington for this fall’s municipal election.
Anyone looking to run for mayor, council, or school board trustee can begin filing nomination papers with the township clerk as of today.
The deadline to register is August 21st.
Candidates must submit the required forms, pay a nomination fee, and provide at least 25 endorsement signatures.
Individuals, corporations, and trade unions can also register to be third-party advertisers starting today, with a deadline of Oct. 23.
Residents can vote in Centre Wellington if they live, own, or rent property there, or if they are the spouse of someone who owns or rents property in the municipality other than the one where they live.
Election day is set for October 26th.
