WELLINGTON COUNTY- Three search warrants results in three arrests, eight charges being laid, alongside illegal drugs and cash being seized.
In March 2026, a drug trafficking investigation was launched within Wellington County, which resulted in a lengthy investigation, and ultimately resulting in officers on May 1, 2026, from the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Community Street Crimes Unit (CSCU), alongside neighbouring OPP jurisdictions, attending the Greater Toronto Area and executing three simultaneous search warrants within Toronto, Mississauga and Brampton.
The search warrants resulted in the following:
· Three individuals arrested.
· Eight charges laid.
· Over $35,000 worth of illegal drugs seized.
· Over $10,000 worth of cash seized.
· Over $4,000 worth of offence-related property seized.
Quantities of suspected Cocaine were seized, alongside Canadian currency, and offence-related property involving cell phones, scales, vacuum sealer, bags and a money counter.
As a result of the investigation, the following individuals have been arrested without incident and are charged under the Criminal Code and the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act:
1) A 28-year-old from Toronto is charged with:
- Possession of a Schedule 1 substance for the purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine.
- Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5000.
The accused has been released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice – Guelph on July 24, 2026.
2) A 31-year-old from Mississauga is charged with:
- Possession of a Schedule 1 substance for the purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine.
- Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5000.
The accused has been released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice – Guelph on July 24, 2026.
3) A 28-year-old from Brampton is charged with:
- Possession of a Schedule 1 substance for the purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine. (two counts)
- Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5000. (two counts)
The accused has been released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice – Guelph on July 24, 2026.
