CENTRE WELLINGTON – A motorist has been charged following a collision with a pedestrian in Elora.
On May 11, 2026, at approximately 12:00 p.m., members of the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to the report of single-vehicle collision with a pedestrian on Princess Street in Elora.
As a result of the investigation, a 79-year-old from Elora, is charged under the Highway Traffic Act with:
- Fail to yield to pedestrian on roadway
The victim attended a local hospital with serious yet non-life-threatening injuries.
Anyone charged with ‘Fail to yield to pedestrian on roadway’ receives a fine of $365.
