FERGUS- The Township of Centre Wellington will be conducting fire flow testing today (Tuesday, May 19th) in Fergus.
The Township says the testing will take place in the Strathlea Subdivision on St. David St N (SR 18) and Beatty Line (SR 18) area.
Fire flow testing involves the operation of hydrants at high flows and volumes, which can cause discoloured water for residents in the area.
Residents who experience discoloured water are urged to turn on a cold water tap nearest to the water meter and allow the water to flush for several minutes until it runs clear.
The township says if after 24 hours, the water still appears discoloured, contact 519.846.9691 Option #2.
