Last night’s Township of Wellington North’s council meeting recognized some local student artists who captured the spirit of a welcoming community in their craft.
Back in January the Township posted the details of the competition; students from K – Grade 12 in North Wellington were given the opportunity to showcase a welcoming and inclusive community.
Mayor Andy Lennox welcomed the winning artists into council chambers.
The four winners are Pyper MacDonald, Blayke Ward, Vannah Saunders and Keira Potter.
Their designs will be displayed in a composite piece at Township entrances as a vibrant and welcoming symbol of the communities within.
