GUELPH – A Guelph man faces several charges after a Guelph Police officer was bitten on Wednesday afternoon.
At around 12:45 pm, police were called to a neighbourhood after reports that a man had used a chainsaw to cut down a For Sale sign on a neighbouring property.
Investigation revealed the involved man was already wanted for mischief and other charges related to a dispute with a different neighbour.
Police say the man was located and placed under arrest. At the police station, he was combative and bit an officer on the forearm.
A 52-year-old Guelph man is charged with assault on police, criminal harassment, two counts of mischief under $5,000, and uttering threats.
