ELORA – The Jefferson Elora Community Centre was evacuated Friday evening following a report of a fire.
Centre Wellington Fire Rescue were called at around 8:40pm to a report commercial fire.
In a post to social media, the Township of Centre Wellington says the fire was quickly identified and contained, and the building was safely evacuated as a precaution due to smoke in the facility.
The Township said initial assessment indicates the damage appears to be minor.
The Jefferson Elora Community Centre will reopen Saturday morning, and regular programming will continue as scheduled.
