NEWS RELEASE WELLINGTON COUNTY OPP
(CENTRE WELLINGTON TOWNSHIP, ON) – Two individuals were transported to hospital following an aircraft collision in Fergus.
On May 26, 2026, at approximately 5:15 p.m., members of the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), alongside local paramedic and fire services, responded to the report of a plane collision into a field on Beatty Line between Sideroad 10 and Sideroad 5, outside of Fergus.
It is reported that the general aviation aircraft experienced an engine malfunction, prompting an emergency landing. Two occupants in the plane sustained minor, non-life-threatening injuries and were transported to local hospital for assessment.
Transport Canada has been notified of the collision.
