The Wellington County council meeting on Thursday, May 28, gave an update on the construction of the expansion taking place at the Wellington Place Child Care and Learning Centre in Aboyne.
A report from Construction & Property Manager, Kevin Mulholland, highlighted what has been completed on the project so far.
Work completed as of May 29 includes: exterior wall wood framing installation, underground hydro and gas service re-routed, underground services installed, air barrier installation completed, flat roofing has been installed, first of two floor pours completed and the exterior insulation installation has started.
Work expected to be completed over the next month: second floor pour, interior wall framing installation, exterior insulation installation will continue, mechanical and electrical rough-ins will be completed and exterior door and window frame installation will begin.
