Centre Wellington Dental will be hosting a free community dinner on Friday, June 5, at Knox Presbyterian Church in Elora.
Knox Presbyterian has been regularly hosting free dinners at the church on the first Friday of each month for a number of years, but recently a partnership has developed with Centre Wellington Dental.
Dentist Emily Israel said the dinner is a great way for the business to extend their community connection beyond the dental unit.
A team of rockstar volunteers prep, cook and clean up after the meals.
This year’s menu will feature gluten-free and vegan options; Israel and the volunteers want this dinner to be as inclusive as possible.
Last year’s dinner saw between 85 and 100 community members, Israel said they ran out of a few items, but this year Centre Wellington Dental is making sure the pantry is stocked well.
Israel said the more the merrier and organizers want to see as many people as possible show up for a good meal and a friendly evening.
Dinner is served starting at 6 p.m., and dessert is included.
The free Elora and Fergus Downtown Shuttle will be running that evening until 5 p.m., but the final pickup in Fergus’ downtown is scheduled for 5:35 p.m., before heading towards Elora.
