NEWS RELEASE WELLINGTON COUNTY OPP
(GUELPH-ERAMOSA TOWNSHIP, ON) – A Cambridge resident is facing intimate partner violence charges following a collision investigation in Guelph-Eramosa.
On June 13, 2026, at approximately 8:45 a.m., members of the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to the report of an altercation within a vehicle on Wellington Road 124 in Guelph-Eramosa Township.
As a result of the investigation, a 38-year-old from Cambridge, is charged under the Criminal Code with:
- Assault – spousal (two counts)
The accused was released from police custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Guelph on a later date.
The victim did not sustain any reported injuries.
The OPP will not release names to protect the identity of the victim(s).
