NEWS RELEASE WELLINGTON COUNTY OPP
(TOWN OF MINTO, ON) – A youth has been charged following a robbery in Harriston.
On June 20, 2026, at approximately 7:00 p.m., members of the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to the report of a robbery in the area of Mill Street and Elizabeth Street in Harriston.
Money, electronics and other items were taken from the victim after they were assaulted, resulting in minor injuries.
As a result of the investigation, a 14-year-old from North Perth, is charged under the Criminal Code with:
- Robbery with theft
The accused, whose identity is protected under the Youth Criminal Justice Act, was released from police custody and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Guelph at a later date.
