NEWS RELEASE WELLINGTON COUNTY OPP
(PUSLINCH TOWNSHIP, ON) – Police have charged a motorist following a multi-vehicle collision in Morriston.
On June 16, 2026, at approximately 7:30 a.m., members of the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to the report of a five-vehicle collision on Highway 6 in Morriston, involving two transport trucks and three other vehicles. One individual was transported to local hospital with minor injuries.
It is reported that the collision caused a load of dry concrete to spill onto the roadway. Highway 6 was closed for a period of time and has since re-opened. The Ministry of the Environment was notified.
As a result of the investigation, a 27-year-old from Georgetown, is charged under the Highway Traffic Act with:
- Careless driving
