NEWS RELEASE WELLINGTON COUNTY OPP
(ELORA, ON) – The Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is investigating a break-in at an Elora restaurant and a nearby shed fire, which police believe may be connected.
On Friday, June 26, 2026, just after 12:30 a.m., Wellington OPP officers were contacted about a shed fire on Mill Street East in Elora. Police attended and discovered that a nearby restaurant also on Mill Street East, had been forcibly entered. Video surveillance from that morning showed two male suspects described below.
Suspect #1: Male, Caucasian, approximate age – early 20’s, red jacket with white liner, black shorts with white horizontal writing in large letters, black shoes.
Suspect #2: Male, Caucasian, approximate age – early 20’s, dark blue jacket, black shorts, white shoes.
Investigators are appealing to the public for assistance in identifying the suspects involved.
