NEWS RELEASE WELLINGTON COUNTY OPP
(WELLINGTON COUNTY, ON) – Two separate individuals have been charged with Intimate Partner Violence within Wellington County.
On June 29, 2026, at approximately 7:00 p.m., the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were dispatched to a report of a disturbance at an address within Wellington North Township.
As a result of the investigation, a 26-year-old from Wellington North Township is charged under the Criminal Code with the following:
- Assault with a weapon
- Assault – Spousal
The accused has been released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice – Guelph at a later date.
On June 29, 2026, at approximately 6:15 p.m., the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were dispatched to a report of a disturbance at an address within the Town of Minto.
As a result of the investigation, a 30-year-old from the Town of Minto is charged under the Criminal Code with the following:
- Assault – Spousal
- Mischief – Domestic
The accused has been released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice – Guelph at a later date.
The OPP will not release names to protect the identity of the victim(s).
