CENTRE WELLINGTON – The Township of Centre Wellington has extended the operating hours of its cooling centres as many residents continue to experience power outages following Wednesday’s severe weather.
The Centre Wellington Community Sportsplex and the Jefferson Elora Community Centre will remain open until midnight tonight (Thursday), providing a safe, air-conditioned space for anyone in need.
The Township says both facilities will reopen tomorrow (Friday) morning, with the Centre Wellington Community Sportsplex opening at 6:00 a.m. and the Jefferson Elora Community Centre reopening at 8:00 a.m.
Residents are also encouraged to check in on neighbours, especially those who may be vulnerable or require assistance during the ongoing outages.
