County of Wellington officials along with Wellington County OPP are looking for answers regarding a recent ransacking of a construction site in Drayton.
On July 15 at around 9 a.m., police received a complaint for mischief on the construction site at Simmons Bridge in Drayton.
On July 21 the County of Wellington posted some photos of the damages at the site; toilets tipped, windows smashed and police said signage has been moved.

On a Facebook post, the County said “every act of vandalism delays construction, increases costs, and puts workers and the public at risk.”
“Respect the barriers. Respect the work. Help keep our communities safe,” said the post caption.
Police said their investigation revealed that an unknown person, or people, had visited the site during overnight hours on at least two separate occasions, first, on July 13 and then on July 15.
Wellington County OPP are conducting an active investigation and are appealing to the public for assistance.
