CENTRE WELLINGTON – The race for Centre Wellington’s mayor is continuing to grow.
Former Ward 5 councillor Stephen Kitras officially registered as a candidate for mayor on Friday, joining current Mayor Shawn Watters, former Mayor Kelly Linton, Councillor Bronwynne Wilton, and Neil Dunsmore in the race.
A longtime Centre Wellington resident, Kitras served two terms on township council after being elected as Ward 5 councillor in 2014 and re-elected in 2018.
Kitras has also sought provincial office, running as the New Blue Party candidate in Wellington–Halton Hills during the 2022 and 2025 Ontario provincial elections.
Voters in Centre Wellington head to the polls on October 26th.
