NEWS RELEASE WELLINGTON COUNTY OPP
(CENTRE WELLINGTON TOWNSHIP, ON) – An individual has been arrested following a break and enter in Elora.
On July 25, 2026, at approximately 12:45 a.m., members of the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to the report of an in-progress break and enter at a residence in Elora. Police attended and arrested the accused on scene.
As a result of the investigation, a 28-year-old from Elora, is charged under the Criminal Code and the Liquor Licence and Control Act with:
- Break, enter a dwelling house with intent to commit indictable offence
- Mischief – destroys or damages property
- Being intoxicated in public place
The accused was released from police custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Guelph on October 16, 2026.
