GUELPH – Motorists who drove on Woodlawn Road West at Royal Road in Guelph Monday afternoon are encouraged to check their tires for damage.
Just after 4:30 pm, a witness called police to report hundreds of screws in the intersection affecting traffic in both directions.
It is believed they accidentally fell from a vehicle.
Officers restricted traffic through the area and cleaned up the screws.
Police say the road was fully reopened after approximately one hour.
