CENTRE WELLINGTON – The Township of Centre Wellington is inviting residents to review and provide feedback on its Draft Stormwater Rate Study.
The study, now available through the Township’s Connect CW engagement platform, explores options for creating a sustainable, long-term funding approach to maintain and improve Centre Wellington’s stormwater infrastructure.
Stormwater systems are designed to manage rain and snowmelt runoff from roads, parking lots, lawns, and other surfaces.
According to the Township, investing in this infrastructure helps reduce flooding risks, protect local waterways, and support the long-term health of the environment.
While the draft study has been released for public review, Township Council has directed staff to defer any public information sessions and further consideration of the study until the next term of Council.
The Township says public feedback remains an important part of the process and is encouraging residents to review the draft and share their comments through the Connect CW website at www.connectcw.ca/stormwater-rates.
