GUELPH- Guelph Police is asking for the public’s help identifying the driver of a dark-coloured, late-model Ford Mustang involved in a traffic incident last week.
The incident happened just before noon on Thursday, July 30, at the intersection of Edinburgh Road South and Ironwood Road.
In a post to X, dashcam video released shows a dark-coloured, late-model Ford Mustang approaching the intersection in the left-turn lane without appearing to slow down. The Mustang then moves around a vehicle waiting ahead of it in the same lane, narrowly missing an oncoming vehicle that was stopped in the opposite left-turn lane.
Although the incident did not result in a collision, investigators say the driving behaviour created a significant safety risk.
Investigators are looking to speak with the Mustang’s driver and are also asking anyone who was in the area at the time to come forward.
Police are interested in hearing from anyone who witnessed the driving behaviour, has dashcam footage, recognizes the vehicle or driver, or has any information that could assist the investigation.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the Guelph Police Service Traffic Unit.
