Wellington County are in the works on a climate change response plan and are seeking public input by Friday, Aug. 14.
In a social media post the County said the Community Climage Change Adaptation Plan will identify how climate change affects different parts of Wellington County and its people.
The plan will be developed with public feedback in-mind; the County said they want the public to identify, for example, flood-prone areas, outdoor workers facing unfavourable conditions and appropriate steps to protect the community.
The County is asking residents to fill out an online feedback form.
The survey covers a wide range of climate change topics such as asking for comments about warming and cooling centres, alert response systems, drinking water protections, food system resilience, the agriculture sector, invasive species and forest management for example.
The 10-page questionnaire will be open for submission until Friday, Aug. 14.
