CENTRE WELLINGTON – An Elora resident is facing weapons charges following a reported disturbance Sunday morning.
Wellington County OPP were called to the area of David Street East and Geddes Street in Elora around 11:30 a.m. on August 16.
Police say an individual brandished a weapon toward two people during an interaction.
The victims contacted police, and officers located the suspect a short time later. The man was taken into custody without incident, and no injuries were reported.
A 50-year-old from Elora has been charged with two counts of assault with a weapon and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.
The individual remains in custody and is scheduled for a bail hearing in Guelph Monday.
