NEWS RELEASE WELLINGTON COUNTY OPP
(GUELPH-ERAMOSA TOWNSHIP, ON) – Police are appealing to the public for assistance in identifying the suspect(s) involved in a Guelph-Eramosa break and enter.
On August 14, 2026, at approximately 7:15 a.m., members of the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to the report of break and enter at a gravel pit on Wellington Road 30 in Guelph-Eramosa Township.
It is reported that during the overnight hours of August 13-14, 2026, the suspect(s) attended the property, broke into several trailers on-site and stole several thousand dollars worth of tools and copper cable. The suspect(s) then proceeded to steal a white GMC pick-up truck and left the property at approximately 4:45 a.m. The suspect(s) may have initially attended the property on bicycles.
On August 14, 2026, at approximately 10:00 a.m., members of the Wellington County OPP recovered the stolen truck on Wellington Road 51 in Guelph-Eramosa Township. However, the stolen property remains outstanding.
The investigation remains ongoing.
