WELLINGTO COUNTY – Wellington County Councillor Diane Ballantyne has been re-elected to the Association of Municipalities of Ontario’s Board of Directors.
The announcement was made yesterday at the annual AMO Conference, where Ballantyne was elected to represent the County Caucus for the 2026 to 2028 term.
“Congratulations to Councillor Ballantyne on being re-elected to the AMO Board of Directors, representing the County Caucus,” said Warden Chris White. “Councillor Ballantyne will be a very strong voice and advocate for Wellington County and Ontario residents.”
The AMO Board is made up of 47 elected and non-elected municipal representatives from communities across Ontario. The board meets five times a year to discuss key municipal issues, develop policy positions and reports, and support municipalities through programs, training and other resources.
“I am honoured to continue serving on the AMO Board of Directors representing the County Caucus for 2026-2028,” commented Councillor Diane Ballantyne. “Across Ontario, municipalities are facing complex challenges with limited resources. I look forward to continuing the Board’s important work and advocating for residents in Wellington County and across Ontario.
AMO represents all 444 municipalities across Ontario, working to help local governments collaborate on shared priorities and common challenges.
Ballantyne was first elected to Wellington County Council representing Ward 6 in 2018.
