CENTRE WELLINGTON – Centre Wellington Fire Rescue has announced the appointment of Christopher Paluch as its new Deputy Fire Chief of Fire Prevention and Public Education.
Paluch brings more than 20 years of experience with Centre Wellington Fire Rescue, with a background spanning emergency response, fire prevention, public education, fire investigation and leadership.
A longtime member of the department and Elora resident, Paluch has served as a full-time Fire Prevention Officer since 2018 and has been Captain of Fire Prevention since 2023.
He has also served as a Captain in the department’s Suppression Division, giving him experience in both fire prevention and emergency response.
In his new role, the department says Paluch will help lead Centre Wellington Fire Rescue’s fire prevention, public education and community risk reduction programs as the community continues to grow.
The department says his experience, leadership and knowledge of the community will be an important asset in helping keep residents and visitors safe.
