MINTO: According to Wellington County OPP a Palmerston resident has been arrested in connection with an intimate partner violence investigation.
Police said on Aug. 30, 2026, at around 6:00 a.m., Wellington County OPP responded to the report of a disturbance inside a vehicle on a roadway in Minto.
As a result of their investigation, a 22-year-old from Palmerston has been charged with:
- Assault – Spousal
OPP said the victim did not sustain any injuries.
“Victims of intimate partner violence and sexual assault are not alone,” police said in a press release, “if you, or someone you know, needs support, there are local resources (listed below) that are available to help.”

The accused was released from police custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Guelph on Oct. 6, 2026.
