FERGUS – The Fergus Fall Fair has named its 2026/2027 Ambassador.
Emma Vervoort was announced as this year’s winner during the Ambassador competition dinner on Sunday at the Centre Wellington Community Sportsplex.
Vervoort is in her second year of the Welding Engineering Inspection Program at Conestoga College. She’s also a member of the Eramosa 4-H Dairy Club, where she enjoys working with her 4-H calf.
She has volunteered with the Elora Skating Club and Habitat for Humanity. Outside of school and her volunteer work, Vervoort enjoys camping, spending time outdoors, playing yard games, and being with family and friends.
Mikayla Kent was named the runner-up, while Molly King and Emilia Greulich also took part in this year’s competition.
All four participants completed interviews with a panel of judges, created personal display boards, delivered speeches, and answered an impromptu question.
The 189th Fergus Fall Fair, themed “Here We Grow,” runs this weekend, September 18th to 20th.
