GUELPH – A Toronto man is facing several charges after police say he stripped naked at a Guelph splash pad while children were present.
Guelph Police were called around 10:30 Sunday morning by City of Guelph Bylaw officials about a man at the splashpad in front of City Hall.
Police say the 41-year-old man removed all of his clothing before entering the water.
He was arrested and charged with committing an indecent act, then released with conditions, including a ban from attending splashpads.
But police say officers were called back to the same splash pad a short time later after Bylaw officials spotted the man there again.
Investigators also determined the man had allegedly entered a downtown business and stolen a bottle of alcohol. The bottle was recovered when he was arrested.
He now faces additional charges of theft under $5,000 and failing to comply with an undertaking.
