MINTO – The Town of Minto is inviting local businesses, attractions, community organizations, and entrepreneurs to take part in a new initiative aimed at bringing more visitors to the community.
Meet Me in Minto is designed to showcase Minto as a destination worth the drive, while helping local businesses grow through tourism.
“The initiative aims to develop 12 to 15 unique visitor experiences that encourage people to explore Minto, spend more time in the community, and support local businesses. Increased visitation can lead to more customers, stronger year-round revenues, improved online visibility, and new opportunities for business growth and job creation,” a press release said.
Participating businesses will have access to:
- A new Meet Me in Minto destination brand
- Inclusion in the Explore Minto website and online business directory
- Experience development workshops and personalized coaching
- Digital marketing training and one-on-one support
- Themed experience trails and collaborative tourism packages
- Marketing materials promoting local businesses and attractions
“Meet Me in Minto is about helping local businesses, attractions and organizations work together to create experiences that attract visitors and keep them coming back,” said Belinda Wick-Graham, Director of Economic & Community Development for the Town of Minto. “By participating, businesses will gain valuable skills, marketing support, and partnerships that can strengthen their long-term success.
Businesses interested in the program are invited to attend a kick-off presentation and workshop on October 8th at the Palmerston Community Centre.
The session will be led by placemaking expert Leslie Fournier of Your Town Rising and will focus on creative collaboration opportunities and growing Minto as a day-tripping destination.
