WELLINGTON COUNTY – Ten local students are receiving $1,000 scholarships and bursaries from the County of Wellington to help with their post-secondary education.
The awards were handed out at Thursday’s County Council meeting and are based on academic achievement, community involvement, or financial need.
The recipients are:
- Aaron Dochstader – Township of Puslinch
- Jacob O’Leary – Township of Puslinch
- Jayden Archdekin – Township of Guelph/Eramosa
- Madalyn Scott – Township of Wellington North
- Tegan Penson – Township of Mapleton
- Kissorney James – Town of Minto
- Galen Armbruster – Town of Erin
- Olivia Walker – Township of Centre Wellington
- Atarah Schuett – Township of Centre Wellington
- Grace Woodruff – Township of Centre Wellington
The $1,000 awards are intended to help offset the cost of post-secondary school expenses.
