WELLINGTON NORTH – A Teeswater resident is facing several charges following a traffic stop in Wellington North Township.
Wellington County OPP say officers were conducting proactive traffic enforcement shortly after midnight on September 27th when they received a complaint about a potentially impaired driver travelling on Wellington Road 109.
Officers located the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop.
As a result of the investigation, police say a 28-year-old of Teeswater has been charged with operation while impaired by alcohol and drugs, operation while impaired with a blood alcohol concentration over 80, having care or control of a motor vehicle with an open container of liquor, and having care or control of a vehicle or boat with cannabis readily available.
A 90-day Administrative Driver’s Licence Suspension and a seven-day vehicle impoundment were also initiated.
The individual is scheduled to appear in a Guelph court in October.
