CENTRE WELLINGTON – Wellington County OPP have charged a 60-year-old Drayton resident with stunt driving, among other charges, following a traffic stop on the Eighth Line.
On Oct. 8, at around 8:30 a.m., police were conducting a typical patrol when they spotted a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed.
Once the traffic stop was initiated the Drayton driver was charged with:
- Drive motor vehicle – perform stunt – excessive speed
- Speeding 50+ km/h over posted limit
- Fail to have insurance card
Police said anyone charged with “‘drive motor vehicle – perform stunt” receives a 14-day vehicle impoundment and a 30-day driver’s license suspension.
The accused is scheduled to appear in Guelph courts at an unspecified date.
