FERGUS – No injuries were reported following an apartment fire in Fergus on Friday morning.
Centre Wellington Deputy Fire Chief Jonathan Karn said crews from both Fergus and Elora stations were called to the building on Forfar Street between Gzowski Street and Victoria Terrace at around 7:16 am.

Karn says the tenant wasn’t home at the time of the incident, and about three units have been displaced due to the fire and water damage.
He is also reminding residents that when a fire alarm is sounding, they should exit the building immediately.
Cleanup efforts are now underway, and Karn says the fire is not suspicious.
The cause is under investigation.
