CENTRE WELLINGTON – The CW Celtics U15 girls basketball team has raised $2,751 through a 24-hour basketball Shootathon held on the weekend.
The event ran from 7 a.m. on October 17 until 7 a.m. the following day, with players making a total of 28,180 shots over the 24-hour period.
Funds raised will be split between two causes, with 50 per cent going to Team Addy and sarcoma research, and the remaining 50 per cent supporting efforts to lower the cost of rep basketball.
