WELLINGTON NORTH – The Township of Wellington North is asking residents and local organizations to help shape the future of recreation in the community.
The Township has launched a public survey as part of an update to its Recreation Master Plan, a long-term document that guides decisions about recreation programs, parks, facilities and services.
Monteith Brown Planning Consultants has been hired to assist with the update, which will establish priorities and actions for the next 10 years. The work will also be completed alongside the Township’s Facilities Master Plan.
The Township is inviting residents, community organizations, user groups, businesses, and visitors to share their input.
Community feedback will help identify:
- Recreation programs and services residents would like to see in the future.
- Opportunities to improve access to recreation and increase participation.
- Potential enhancements to parks, recreation facilities, and public spaces.
- Community priorities for recreation investment and service delivery.
The survey is open until November 22nd, 2026, and can be completed online at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/WNrecMP.
Residents will also have opportunities to provide feedback in person at two drop-in public engagement sessions:
- Sunday, November 15th, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Arthur and Area Community Centre.
- Saturday, November 21st, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Mount Forest and District Sports Complex.
More information about the Recreation Master Plan update is available on the Township’s website.
