ERIN – An Erin motorcyclist is facing several charges, including impaired driving, following a single-vehicle collision in the Town of Erin.
Wellington County OPP say officers responded to a collision involving a motorcycle at Tenth Line and Wellington Road 124 at around 7:15 p.m. on Saturday.
The driver was taken to a local hospital with minor injuries.
Following an investigation, police say the 44-year-old Erin resident was charged with operation while impaired with a blood alcohol concentration over the legal limit, careless driving, driving without a licence or plates, and failing to surrender a vehicle permit and insurance card.
Police also initiated a 90-day driver’s licence suspension and a seven-day vehicle impoundment.
The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in a Guelph court in November.
