OPP INVESTIGATE SERIOUS COLLISION NEAR PALMERSTON
(TOWNSHIP OF MAPLETON, ON) – On January 7, 2021, at approximately 9:00 a.m. a Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer came upon to a serious collision involving two motor vehicles at the intersection of Wellington Road 8 at Wellington Road 9 just south of Palmerston.
The collision involved a passenger van and a pick-up truck. Both vehicles rolled over trapping 2 occupants. Mapleton Fire and Rescue helped extricate the occupants. Three people have been transported to a local hospital with serious injuries.
The intersection of Wellington Road 8 at Wellington Road 9 has since reopened as of 12:15 p.m.
