Wellington Dufferin Guelph Public Health has cancelled all scheduled vaccinations, with the exception of those in long term care and retirement homes.
The news came in an update from Public Health yesterday morning, where they say that most individuals with a scheduled vaccination have been contacted.
The cancellation comes due to the delay in shipments recently announced by both Pfizer and Moderna.
Public Health says they are aware of the need and desire to vaccinate as many residents of Wellington-Dufferin-Guelph as fast as possible. As soon as global shipments of the vaccine resume, Public Health will work quickly to reschedule cancelled appointments and begin new and second dose bookings.
