The St. David Street Bridge in Fergus is closed until 6pm for a film shoot.
In a Facebook post last week, the Township of Centre Wellington says the shoot has been approved by the Township and interested parties, including the Film Safety Guide for filming in Ontario as the film has been deemed an essential business.”
In an email to The Grand @101, Tourism & Destination Coordinator with Centre Wellington, Deb Dalziel, says the movie “The Christmas Market” is being filmed today. A notification letter says that they are filming exterior scenes on the bridge today.
It’s being produced by an Ontario based company called Vortex. Their films are promoted on W-Channel here in Canada and are part of the Hallmark Library in the USA.
Filming is expected to wrap up at 6pm. Until then, you can use the Tower Street or Scotland Street bridges while travelling across town.
