MINTO – The Town of Minto is moving forward with a 2024 tax increase of 1.74 per cent.
Mayor Dave Turton and others commented of the need for more support from provincial and federal partners, though staff concurred this is an “agreeable number.”
Turton said it’s tough to keep their “heads above water” especially in this year’s budget.
Staff say the plan was developed through a review of necessary capital projects.
Asset management priorities and available funding were all taken into account.
This will lead to an additional $9.33 per $100,000 of assessment or $23.33 based on the average residential assessment of $250,000.
